Karlijn has been working at Centerdata since 2024 as a researcher at the Research & Analysis Department. She is active in several projects in the areas of labor market, policy and inclusion.
Karlijn graduated cum laude as a sociologist from the University of Oxford and received her PhD from the Max-Planck-Institute in Cologne in 2018 on research on the relationship between economic crises, unemployment and well-being. After various research projects, Karlijn was active as a self-employed person for several years, conducting applied research, developing an educational game, publishing a book, professional theater productions and performances, and giving guest lectures and readings.
