About Lauren Oude Nijhuis
Lauren has been working as a communications advisor at Centerdata since 2024. She is involved in corporate communications at both the strategic and operational levels. This means she develops, monitors, and implements communication plans. Additionally, Lauren has an advisory role and supports colleagues with various communication-related issues.
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the Fontys Academy for Creative Industries and completed her Master’s in Communication and Information Sciences at Tilburg University, specializing in Communication & Cognition. During her studies, she focused on the cognitive processes involved in communication, such as the influence of emotions and non-verbal behavior on interpersonal communication. In her thesis, Lauren investigated to what extent people can infer emotions from co-speech gestures, the hand movements people make while speaking.
