Lieke is a researcher in the Policy Research & Analysis department, where she studies consumer behavior. This research focuses on decision-making behavior and ways to help people make healthier, more social, or smarter choices.
Lieke studied neuropsychology at Maastricht University and received her PhD from Radboud University in 2018. In her PhD research, she used behavioural experiments and fMRI research to gain insight into the neural processes that enable us to predict and understand other people’s behaviour. Afterwards, she worked as a lecturer in the field of marketing (Tilburg University) and social and health psychology (Utrecht University). She enjoys using her knowledge of psychology, marketing, and research methods to create research designs that help answering real-world questions.
