About Marika de Bruijne
Marika is team lead of Cross-national survey projects at Centerdata. This team focuses on large, international research studies such as SHARE (Survey of Health, Aging, and Retirement in Europe), ESS (European Social Survey), EVS (European Values Study), and GUIDE (Growing Up in Digital Europe), which collect data using the DataCTRL survey tool suite of Centerdata.
Marika studied Business Administration at the Technical University of Lappeenranta, Finland. After graduating, she worked at a market research company from 2001 until 2005. In 2015, she obtained her PhD at Tilburg University on survey methodology, specifically the design of questionnaires for the multi-device internet. Marika’s interest lies in particular in the development of new techniques for data collection and research support.
